The Research IT team supports the implementation of UF Health IT builds for researchers at UF, including UF Health Gainesville, and UF Health Jacksonville. If your research project could benefit from leveraging existing or incorporating new tools into the Epic EHR, we may be able to help! We can provide letters of support and budget information for use of Research IT resources for grant proposals,* and will help bring your proposed build to life once funding has been obtained. We also work with stakeholders throughout UF to obtain and provide widespread access to Epic-related resources.
Note that our scope is only for research. For clinical IT builds, please submit a project request through the UF Health IT Self Service Home Page.
*A minimum of 6 weeks before your proposal deadline is required to allow us to scope and determine feasibility and costs.

EPIC and REDCap
The EPIC to REDCap pipeline automates EHR data transfer from EPIC to REDCap, reducing manual entry, errors, and resource use while improving accuracy and enabling real-time data collection. It supports research studies, registries, and trials but requires institutional approval and adherence to security protocols.
